Tell us about your role at Wood

I started as a trainee in 2012 and now work as an engineer in the structure and marine department, and this has been my department since I started 6 years ago.

When you reflect on your career what makes you most proud?

The thing that I’m most happy with is that I have gone from civil engineering to working with offshore projects involving hydrodynamics. I’m working on more complex structures than what I would have been working with in civil engineering.

What would you tell your friends about working at Wood?

You get to work together with a group of highly skilled people solving many different complex problems. Early on you are trusted with responsibility and you get new challenging tasks which allow you to develop new skills and knowledge. If you run across problems or difficulties in your work, there is always someone you can ask that will help you overcome those problems.

Being part of a big company there may be opportunities to be part of new and exciting projects!
